Health Data Analytics

Melissa has a BS in Health Informatics and Information Management, and a minor in Data Analytics from The College of St. Scholastica. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator, Certified Health Data Analyst and Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Services. Melissa has over 15 years in healthcare. As a healthcare professional, Melissa is able to stay up to date on the needs of the industry. This allows her to deliver material that is invaluable to students seeking roles in healthcare. 

Georgina has a BS in Medical Records Administration from Viterbo University. She started as a supervisor of Medical Records and Medical Coding and later became director of Medical Records and Medical Coding. Throughout her career Georgina worked in acute-care hospitals, teaching hospitals, and for-profit hospitals. She started teaching as an adjunct and has been teaching at Anoka Tech since 2009. This program is fully online but Georgina works hard to reach students in person via Zoom or Teams, recorded lectures, and provides feedback within 24 hours or sooner to make the experience as personable as possible.
